After reviewing various materials and conducting extensive research on the subject of leadership styles. I have identified transformational leadership as the one that best fits my style of leadership. This is because I have a tendency as a nurse leader to inspire, motivate and encourage people to accomplish goals greater than themselves. Similarly, I have been privileged to be a leader to people new to the practice. Some of them say I am a role model they seek to emulate. I respect each one of my juniors and treat them with respect, and this makes us emotionally connected. Additionally, I have impeccable communication skills, which enable me to communicate the vision to my juniors and encourage them to act.

Moreover, I am committed to ensuring that I support my juniors in their pursuit of growth, learning, and development. I firmly believe that I have a responsibility over my juniors to make them better versions of themselves.  It is correct to say that the transformational leadership style is the one that best fits me because I am able to lead with influence rather than authority, build an ethical team culture, and motivate others to act.

  1. Team-oriented leadership

Leaders using team-oriented leadership focus on creating teams that nurture individuals’ strengths. The goal of this model is to improve morale and engagement. Working as a team encourages members to reach their potential through collaboration and motivation. It emphasizes the skills, experiences, and collective strengths of team members rather than the powers possessed by leaders. Therefore, leaders using this model should have a perfect understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of teams so that they delegate activities based on their abilities. Team-oriented leadership is among the most effective models based on staff satisfaction, productivity, and engagement. Team-oriented leadership leads to improved performance, job satisfaction, and efficiency.

  1. Coaching leadership

The leadership coaching model aims to help staff in an organization grow and develop individuals with the organization’s long-term goals in mind. This model is best used by leaders who want their employees to build lasting strengths. The kind of employees who fit this model is those who are willing to learn and are open to providing feedback. Most often, leaders use coaching leadership when dealing with employees who lack the knowledge necessary to leaching the shared vision. Through the coaching leadership model, employees are able to find solutions to their individual problems, build trust, and support an environment that promotes creativity.
