Reflect on how your practicum experience throughout this program has helped you develop an appreciation for nursing scholarship.
There are various ways that the practicum experience through this program helped me to develop an appreciation for nursing scholarship. For instance, I learned how to apply the theoretical knowledge learned in class to real-world situations (Kesten et al., 2021). Therefore, it is safe to say that the practicum experience facilitates the application of nursing theory and research into clinical practice. Also, my practicum experience provided opportunities for me to participate in scholarly activities such as review of literature, participation in research, and quality improvement projects (Kesten et al., 2021). This broadened my understanding of nursing research and enabled me to contribute to the nursing knowledge. Moreover, the practicum experience provided many opportunities for me to attend workshops, conferences, and seminars through which I learned about the recent advancements in nursing scholarship (Kesten et al., 2021). Besides, the practicum experience helped me to develop critical thinking ability, which is a prerequisite for applying nursing scholarship.
How will you incorporate scholarship into your future nursing practice?
I will incorporate scholarship into my nursing practice. One way is by conducting research and quality improvement projects (Milton, 2022). I will participate in healthcare initiatives. These initiatives will address clinical problems and improve outcomes.
Another way is through lifelong learning. I will pursue various certifications and join professional organizations (Milton, 2022). Nurses must stay updated on advancements in healthcare. This ongoing education will enhance my skills and knowledge.
I will also collaborate with healthcare professionals from different disciplines (Milton, 2022). Working with others will provide diverse perspectives. It will strengthen teamwork and improve patient care. APA
