These are the three essay questions. Your responses are very important as they will tell the
selection committee about how you plan to use the scholarship funds. Points are assigned as
to the importance of each.
Begin your essay with your name and school at the top right hand corner. Then answer
these questions. You need not include the letter A, B, and C. Make this a continuous essay
about you. The essay should be a minimum of 500 words with a maximum of no more than
800 words.

A. Write a short introduction about yourself. (25)
In a couple of paragraphs, give us information about your family, education and school,
any work experience, community involvement, hobbies and activities or any other life
experiences that will help us know you better.
B. In the next part of your essay tell us about your goals and life experiences in Selma

Share any opportunities that you have had to work to improve the quality of life in the Selma Dallas County community?
C. Read this last question carefully as you consider your answer.
It is the purpose of the Edwin and Virginia Scholarship to provide assistance to a student whose intent is to give back to their community and to serve the needs ofothers.
How will you use these funds to accomplish this goal?

2. Distribute the three reference forms to selected people who can comment honestly
on your life. Ask them to send their completed application to the library by
March 21, 2025. Give each of them an addressed envelope to return.
3. Answer the three questions on page 2 in essay form.
4. Type in Times New Roman font size 12 in essay form. APA
5. Type your name and school at the top of the essay page.
