Part 1

Write a 750 word paper summarizing the following criteria:

Discuss the top five reasons that standards are vital in the U.S. health care system.

Choose one of the most vital HIT standards for your current or previous organization. Evaluate how the standard influences the organization. Some examples of HIT standards are: FHIR, HL7, IHE, C-CDA, QRDA, and HQFM.

Choose a standard you believe needs improvement. Discuss the effect of the standard and propose a solution for its improvement.

Cite three to five scholarly sources in your paper.

Part 2

Create an infographic using Canva.com to highlight five standards. Include a brief explanation of each one including the stakeholders and how they will use the standards in their current role in the health care organization. The infographic will be used to conduct a future 20-minute presentation for your health organization staff. The presentation is not part of the assignment.
